The hybrid construction in the ACTIVE LIGHT category combines lightweight 1-layer material in zones where you need to breathe, and more durable 3-layer stretch softshell where wind and cold hit the most. This means you won't overheat during the ascent, but won't be caught off guard by a cold gust on the open ridge. The surface is water-repellent (PFC free), so it can handle drizzle or wet grass, but you'll still need a waterproof outer layer in persistent rain.
A common problem: either the pants pull when you step, or they hang and get in the way. Thanks to the 4-way stretch material, adjustable waist, and belt loops, you can adjust MAYTE to your liking – the pants follow your movement, don't twist, and don't slip during longer steps or descents. Practical YKK® zippers do not snag and reliably keep pockets closed, even when bending over for poles or sitting on a rock.
