Lightweight technical protective jacket designed for hiking and alpine conditions. The three-layer Pertex Shield membrane (20 000 mm H₂O/20 000 g/m²/24 h) and fully taped seams make it an indispensable piece for any hike or backpacking trip. Pertex® Shield is a waterproof and breathable fabric used in outdoor gear such as jackets and pants. It works by using a microporous membrane that prevents water from entering while allowing moisture to escape, keeping you dry and comfortable. Shield is also lightweight and durable, making it ideal for activities where weight and packability are critical, such as backpacking and mountaineering. Its water-resistant properties and ability to withstand harsh weather conditions make it a popular choice for outdoor enthusiasts who demand the best from their gear. It can cope with heavy rain and wind and will reliably protect you in adverse conditions from spring to autumn, and in combination with an insulating layer, you can also use it in winter. The jacket breathes and ventilates well not only thanks to its material, but also thanks to the ventilation zips on the sides. Thanks to the extended cut under the buttocks, it protects the lower back and doesn't roll up when wearing a zipped backpack. The two sufficiently large side pockets are positioned in a higher position so that you can reach them comfortably even when the waist belt is fastened. The hood is 3D adjustable, helmet compatible (climbing, ski mountaineering) and thanks to the reinforced peak, water won't run directly into your face. The bottom edge is adjustable with an elastic band, the cuffs on the sleeves are adjustable with Velcro. For extra safety, the jacket has reflective prints. High-quality zippers from the world-renowned manufacturer YKK are waterproof, glued on the pockets. We have supported the dissipation of excess heat with zippers in the armpits (they are not lined with mesh). The top edge of the main zipper at the neck can be buttoned - it can be used for ventilation, for example, if you don't want the zipper fully closed but also want to keep the jacket buttoned at the neck.
